The Quick Walkthrough


Just follow these instructions to skip levels 2 to 7, then follow the guide to complete the tricky world 8.
  • Complete worlds 1-1 and 1-2.
  • Use the cheats to find the first warp whistle. (see main page)
  • Collect all the coins on level 1-4 to go to toads house and collect a P-wing (not nesescary but very useful).
  • Enter Boom Booms mini fortress and get the second whistle. (see main page)
  • Finish worlds 1-5 and 1-6, you should have over 80,000 points so the card house will appear. Use the card guides on the main page to win this.
  • Complete world 1.
  • At the start of world 2, use your first warp whistle to enter the warp zone. Now use your second warp whistle to enter world 8.
  • The first section of world 8 is full of tanks, it's easiest to use your P-wing.
  • Finish the Battleship level, it's a bit easier than the last. The water won't kill you straight away.
  • As mario now crosses the 5 blocks hands will grab him, these levels are fairly short. You'll get a super leaf upon completion of each one. If possible use fire mario for the first one.
  • After the blocks, use the P-wing, this is the hardest level in the game.
  • Now you're in the spooky bit, you should be able to see mario in a pool of light. Move along the trail to world 8-1 and make sure you're Racoon Mario. Fly up as soon as you start, go left and hit the P-switch.
  • Drop down and collect the coins.
  • Go back and take off, head right and go for the black pipe.
  • Go down for three 1-UPs, now finish the level.
  • Enter world 8-2, beware of the Pakkun flowers and the sun, walk straight into the first quicksand.
  • Mario should come out in a corridor, head left and you can enter a pipe for a power up, head right and you can enter a pipe to collect coins.
  • When you reappear watch out for the flowers and run up the hill, down the other side and fly over the big gap with the two musical blocks.
  • Pass the first tube and then move up (north on the map) and enter the mini fortress. There are loads of two way doors, however only one will do. All the others hide bonuses.
  • Go straight along avoiding the discs. Reach the final door in the centre of a disc. Bash the blocks stand on the circular hub thingand enter the door. Youcome out on a conveyor belt taking you left so push right quickly. Now you have to jump across a series of conveyor belts. Ignore all the doors and keep going right.
  • Watch out for the thwomp, at this point you can go through the door to get big, do it again for the Racoon suit. You'll come to a gap in the floor with a door below to the right, don't go down. smash the blocks on the right with your tail, then get the star from the ? block, let it bounce along a bit before collecting it. then run right. At the end of the last conveyor belt(ignore the door below) drop down avoiding the thwomp now jump over him (from right to left)
  • Hit the block on the right of the conveyor belt to reveal a switch, hit it. A door appears in the middle of the conveyor belt, ignore it!
  • Head right and enter the door on the far right, immediately duck and stay down until the conveyor belt takes you past the spikes. Now defeat Boom-Boom.
  • After the fortress move north, then west (up and left) Enter the last map and tank level. Use a racoon suit and finish the level.
  • Run past the spitting statues, don't slow down and you won't get hit.
  • Secret platform coming up! Get ready to jump on when you reach the middle of the shaft. Stand on the doughnut platform on the right, it drops so get ready to jump to the right. Watch out for candle flames (they're like ghosts) and spinning discs while climbing the stairs. If you need to pause stand right next to the red blobs-you won't get hit. At the top of the stairs on the far right there's a hidden 1-UP. Now climb down the stairs.
  • Keep jumping and avoid the flames. Jump across and onto the middle platform, it's the one with the red blob and two spinning discs.
  • Jump over the single block, let twomp approach and then jump back, as he moves right follow him closely and stand on the doughnut platform as it drops. Get ready to jump right. Jump across the spinning discs and go through the doorCollect the power up. Cross the platforms over the lava (tricky). Keep going right and through the next door.
  • Bowser. Don't jump on his head! Just avoid his fireballs and move as he jumps towards you, he'll make a hole in the floor, just lure him back to the same spot and he'll fall to his death. Enter the flashing door.
